Your words stay yours.

While you edit, gift drafts and photos stay in your browser. Creating a hosted gift link uploads its memories, photos and letter so the recipient can open them. Clearing browser storage removes them. Previewing a sample does not upload your own gift.

If you join the $12 interest list, we store your email, chosen format, notification consent, submission date, and campaign attribution. Emails are unverified. We do not send newsletters or sell this list. No emails are sent automatically by this site.

We measure homepage visits, sample opens, creator starts, recipient previews, and interest submissions using a random session identifier. We store campaign tags when supplied. We do not store gift text, photos, raw IP addresses, or email addresses in these event records. These measurements help us improve the service. Session identifiers are held in your browser for the tab session.

Hosted gifts and purchase access links expire after 90 days. At checkout, we save your crossword and payment reference for fulfillment and purchase recovery. Order records may be retained beyond link expiry for support; they are not automatically deleted. Anyone with a gift link can play that gift. Keep your private purchase link secure. No purchase or subscription is created by joining the interest list.

Payments

When checkout is available, Stripe processes your payment details. Only Us stores the checkout reference and payment status with your gift. Your personal clues, photos and letter are not sent to Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
